Obituary of William R. Moltion

William R. Moltion, 82, of LaFayette, passed away at home on Thursday, February 1, 2018. Born in Syracuse, he was a son of the late William and Eleanor Raymo Moltion. William graduated from LaFayette High School before proudly serving in the US Army. He went on to serve as a NYS Trooper before starting his own business as a home contractor. William also served on the LaFayette Town Board. He retired from Onondaga County Department of Transportation in 2002, where he was the transportation supervisor. William is survived by his loving wife, the former Carolyn "Sue" Gallt; daughters, Tamara Egan and Wendy (Douglas) Rounds; son, Steven (Wendy) Moltion; three grandsons; one granddaughter; one great-grandson; and brothers, David (Brenda) Moltion, John (Barbara) Moltion, and Jim Moltion. Calling hours will be Tuesday, February 6, 2018, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, 2584 Field Lane, LaFayette, NY 13084. Burial will be in the spring in LaFayette Rural Cemetery.
