Obituary of Richard L. Bassett

Richard "Dick" Bassett, 68, of Syracuse, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, March 3, 2018. Born in Syracuse, he was the son of the late Leowen and Dorothy Bassett. Dick retired from Bristol-Myers Squibb after over forty years of service. He loved computers and golfing in his free time. Dick was a very kind person and very dedicated to the service of his church, where he served as treasurer. Dick is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Maruta Briedis Bassett of Syracuse; sons, Michael (Kelly) Bassett of Chittenango and Peter Bassett of AZ; and one grandson. He was predeceased by his stepchildren, Stephen, Kimmy and Aaron Milovicz. Funeral services will be Saturday, March 10, 2018, at 9 a.m. at Cross of Christ Lutheran Church, 8131 Soule Road, Liverpool, NY 13090.
