Obituary of Loysell G. Tillman

Mrs. Tillman was born April 25, 1907 in Mayo, Florida, the daughter of John and Isabelle (Brack) Abbott. She moved to the Syracuse area August 1929 and resided mainly in Jamesville, New York on Dave Tilden Road. She was the wife of the late Charles D. Tillman who passed away in 1988. Mrs. Tillman retired in 1963 from the V. A. Medical Center in Syracuse, New York as a federal employee. She had previously worked at the Valley Diner. She was a member of the former Furman Street Methodist Church and its Home Builders Association, a member of Jamesville Community Church, the Jamesville Young at Heart Senior Group and the Holy Cross Senior Center. She is survived by 2 daughters: Julia Armstrong from Palm Harbor, FL, Eugenie L. Hermann from San Antonio, Texas. 1 son: Charles D. Tillman Jr. from Catham, NY 29 grandchildren, 63 great grandchildren, 12 great-great grandchildren The funeral will be Saturday, November 3, 2001, 11:00 a.m. at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, Inc., 4612 S. Salina Street, Syracuse with Rev. George McCracken officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Jamesville, New York. Calling hours will be Friday, November 2, 2001 from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, Inc., 4612 S. Salina Street, Syracuse, NY.
