Obituary of Deborah Ann Bowen

Deborah Ann (Southworth) Bowen, 57, of Syracuse, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 5, 2017, while surrounded by her loving family. Born June 12, 1960, in Syracuse, NY, she was a daughter of the late Gerald E. and Mary A. Southworth. Debbie grew up in Syracuse, where she met and married her high school sweetheart, Bob Bowen, in 1977. Debbie loved to spend time with her husband, going camping, traveling, and to Joe and Rose's house on the weekends. When not doing things with her husband, Debbie was having fun with her grandchildren and great niece—going shopping for clearance sales or out with her flowers. She was always there for her family and friends. Debbie was the most kind and generous soul one could meet. She loved and lived life to the fullest. She is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Robert W. Bowen Jr. of Syracuse; sons, Robert W. Bowen III of Syracuse and Michael Lee (Jen) Bowen of Solvay; grandchildren, Zachary, Celena and Branda, all of Solvay; brothers, Bill (Lyn) Southworth and Ray (Lorraine) Southworth; sister, Denice (Dave) Southworth Cummings; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Debbie was predeceased by her siblings, Mary A., Gerald E., Gregory J., Christopher J., and Angie Southworth, and Rose Blackman.
