Obituary of Mark Steven Van Slyke

Mark Steven Van Slyke, 57, of Tully, NY, passed away Tuesday, June 13, 2017. Born in Syracuse, NY, he was the son of the late Louis and Martha (Kurak) Van Slyke. Mark graduated from Jamesville-DeWitt High School in 1978 and from OCC. He was the owner of Van Trucking Co. since 1979. Mark was a parishioner of St. Leo's Church in Tully. Mark is survived by his wife, Maureen Casey Van Slyke; son, Andrew Van Slyke of Tully, NY; daughter, Victoria Van Slyke of Liverpool, NY and Erin Van Slyke of South Carolina; brother, David (Francine Cico) Van Slyke of Syracuse, NY and sister, Bernice Van Slyke of Syracuse, NY. Calling hours will be held Sunday, June 18, 2017 from 2 to 5 p.m. at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, 4612 S. Salina Street, Syracuse, NY 13205. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, June 19, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. in St. James Church, 4845 S. Salina Street, Syracuse, NY 13205.
