Obituary of Lynda-Rae Salathiel

Lynda-Rae Salathiel, 64, of Sterling, NY, and Tarpon Springs, FL, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, May 28, 2017, with her family and friends by her side. Born in Pelham, NY, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Viola Swanson Salathiel. She retired from Eaton Crouse Hinds, where she worked as a customer service representative. Lynda-Rae 'got by with a little help from her friends'. She lived for her family, fur babies, friends, bowling, softball, garage sales, bingo and a little recreational gambling. There was never a special occasion missed. We could all expect confetti to fly from her cards when we opened them. Lynda-Rae is survived by her loving partner of 17 years, wife of nearly 4, Sherry Spaulding. Calling hours will be Friday, June 2, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, 4612 S. Salina Street, Syracuse, NY 13205. Funeral services will immediately follow at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be Monday, June 5, at 11 a.m. in Onondaga Valley Cemetery, Syracuse.
