Obituary of Jean Ann Ciccarelli

Jean Ann Ciccarelli, 71, went to be with the Lord Jesus Christ on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at Francis House.

She is predeceased by her parents Frank and Alice Jay. She resided in the Syracuse, NY area most of her life but also lived for a time in Rochester NY to be closer to her granddaughter Emily. Jean was an avid photographer and the family historian, amassing over 400 albums and thousands of photographs during her lifetime, most taken by her of family and friends. Most recently, in her retirement from The NYS Department of Social Services, she had been enjoying the fellowship of several close friends and her companion, Dale Hopkins. A call to her residence would often yield a message from her answering machine that she was “out living my life͟” which she did to the fullest, travelling, dancing, playing cards and sharing coffee and stories with all. 

Jean is survived by her three sons Steven, Kenneth (Ellen) and Joseph (Trinidy); grandchildren Joe, Emily, Dominick and Bailey as well as her sister Linda Robinson (Bill) and several nieces and nephews. 

A celebration of Jean’s life will be held at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, 4612 S. Salina Street on Friday, November 2, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. with a short memorial service immediately following.
