Obituary of Dawn E. Krewson

Dawn E. Krewson, 79, passed away peacefully on Tuesday after a very long struggle with Dementia. Her family and her amazing friend, Betty Wallace, were by her side throughout all she endured.  Even with such a horrible disease, her sparkling personality could be seen at times. Dawn had an amazing flair for style and was also creative with no limits as demonstrated with the numerous Halloween costumes she created for family and friends.    

We take comfort in knowing Dawn, our mother, is finally reunited with the true love of her life, Jack,our father, Poppie.   The thought of our parents reunited gives us the strength to get through our todays.

Dawn was a loving & devoted wife, mother and Nonnie to her grandchildren.  She and her husband, Jack, were active in Order of the Eastern Star, Masonic Lodge, LaFayette Trail Riders,the LaFayette Optimists and avid SU sports fans.

Dawn wore many hats over the years, Domestic Goddess, Realtor, Receptionist and Proprietor of the LaFayette Inn.

Dawn was predeceased by her husband John (Jack). She is survived by two daughters Terri (Jay) Fredenburg and Tina Hunt of LaFayette, one son, Michael (Loretta) Krewson of Tully. She has 8 grandchildren, Jeff, Jacci and Todd Fredenburg, Shanley Olszowy, Christopher and Tayler Hunt, Andrew and Luke Krewson and  three great grandchildren. One step brother, Daniel Sheggrud of Jamesville. 

Calling hours will be held on Saturday November 10th, from 1 PM to 4 PM at Ballweg and Lunsford Funeral Home, 2584 Field Lane, LaFayette, New York 13084. There will be a short prayer service immediately following at 4 PM at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Wayward Paws 9048 Delphi Falls Rd. New Woodstock, New York or a charity of your choice.
