Obituary of Brian M. Pitoniak

Brian Mathew Pitoniak “Pop”, 52, of Syracuse, New York died on Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at Upstate University Hospital after a long battle with illness. Born in Syracuse, New York, he was the son of Jane Bresnahan. He was predeceased by the love of his life, Kimberly Gonnella Tobian and his mother Jane (Ray) Hillery.

Brian “Pop” was a devoted spouse and loving step-father of over twenty years. He was an avid fisherman and a lifelong fan of the New York Yankees and Syracuse University sports.

Brian is survived by his four step children, sons, David (Lindsay) Tobian, Mark Tobian; daughters Gabrielle (Edward) Tobian, Annie Beth Tobian; sister, Wendy (Robert) Newman; nieces, Jenna, Jillian; grandchildren, Julian, Ceritha, Jermaine, Anthony and best friend, Mario Millimaci.

Services will be held at 7 p.m. on Monday, November 12, 2018 at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, Inc,. 4612 South Salina Street, Syracuse, New York. Calling hours will also be Monday, November 12, 2018, from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
