Obituary of Lois Killmore

Lois Killmore, 91 years old, 09/02/1927 - 12/13/2018

 

Lois rose from poverty to live the American dream. She lived on a farm on Bussey Road with horses, her dog and her family nearby. She loved her dogs and always had one. She was the owner of Lois’ Beauty Cottage on Onondaga Hill, loved to style hair and talk to the ladies. It was said that if you wanted to know what was going on on the Hill you had to go to the Beauty Cottage. She ran her business for 24 years until she retired.

 

She was born and lived most of her life in Syracuse. In retirement she moved to Florida to live near her daughter in Kissimmee, then moved to Winter Haven and lived very happy years on Lake Hartridge with her boyfriend Bub. Lois had the amazing ability to always be happy and never complain.

 

She was predeceased by her husband, Harold Killmore and her daughter, Janet Wolek. Surviving are her son, Neil; and four grandchildren, David and Brian Killmore, Ronald and Janelle Wolek.

 

There will be a private memorial service.
