Obituary of Robert C. McClary

Robert C. McClary, 85, of LaFayette, NY died peacefully at home on November 20, 2019. He was born on June 14, 1934 the son of Charles McClary and Rosilla Bird McClary. Robert was a graduate of Onondaga Valley Academy, and was enlisted with the U.S. Army from 1958 - 1963. Bob was employed by Niagara Mohawk for his entire career, where he worked in the gas department. He enjoyed hunting, golfing, and sports including, Yankees baseball, UConn Women’s Basketball, and the Chicago Bears. Bob was pre deceased by his wife of 47 years Suzanne Ahern McClary. He is survived by his children, Robert, Jr. (Dawn), Frederick (Karen), Jill (Todd) Fox, Michael (Kristin), numerous grandchildren and one great grandchild. The family would like to give special thanks to his caregiver, MaryEllen Kramek. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Central New York, 990 Seventh North Street, Liverpool, NY 13088.
Calling hours will be held from 1 PM to 3 PM Saturday November 23rd with a funeral service immediately following at 3 PM at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, 4612 S. Salina St., Syracuse, NY.
