Dear Esther and family,
It was with considerable sadness that I read about Tom in Sunday's paper.
It was just a couple of weeks ago that we saw each other at the Brittonfield
medical facility. I remember the help Tom gave us in forming the LaFayette Track Club
in the early 1970s. We used the Lafayette track behind the High School. At one
time as many as 30 to 35 LaFayette youngsters would be at practice during
the summer. We had "track meets" during the summer with a team from Tully and several teams
in the Syracuse recreation program, Tom helped in that program.
Both of our sons asked to be remembered to you - David and John. They knew your
daughters in high school. David now lives in Maryland and John in Atlanta.
Knowlton Foote.

Dear Esther & family -- Please accept our condolences on your loss. We have many memories of sharing times with either the two of you or, in Rich's case, working with Tom in Liverpool Schools. What can we say that hasn't been said already? Tom was a wonderful, caring individual, and the most dedicated school employee! He threw his heart and soul into doing what was best for his love -- Industrial Arts Education -- and his students. We hope that some day we can cross paths again -- like at Cherry Lane in PA Dutch Country -- and bring back some of our memories together. Our best to you. Rich/Pat Swanson.

I have known Tom for many years. He was a really good guy. I will miss having coffee with Tom and Mo, and Jerry, and John on Saturday mornings at Cindy's Olde Tymes. I'll especially miss Tom's sage remarks on whatever subjects came up on any of those occasions.
My deepest condolences to Esther and the rest of Tom's family.

Tom was an incredible role model to me as I began my career in technology education. Though I only worked for him for a few years, his wisdom and integrity have guided me ever since. I felt so fortunate to see his smiling face and catch up occasionally when our paths crossed in the years since his retirement. My heart goes out to your entire family. May your many wonderful memories bring more smiles than tears as you grieve and heal.

Tom was a good friend and professional leader for Technology Education in the region, state and nation. We will always treasure Tom and Ester's friendship. Tom helped and encouraged many people to become involved with their profession and other positions wherever they were located. His advise, humor and leadership will surely be missed by all who knew him. Many a cup of coffee or cheer were shared over the years as we discussed and planned many events.
