Obituary of Dorothy A. Deaver

Dorothy Anna Deaver, 97, of LaFayette,(orginally from Avoca, NY) passed away on Thursday, June 11t^h peacefully with family at her side.

Dorothy was a retiree of ISO Insurance, the LaFayette Central School District, a proud member of the LaFayette Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, member of the Onatavia Methodist Church. She was always known for her crocheting of baby blankies and sweaters, everyone always had a DD blankie.

Dorothy was predeceased by her husband Edward Deaver Sr.; 2 sons, Richard and Dave Deaver; 3 brothers, Robert, Lee and Donald Razey.

She is survived by her children, Edward (Carol) Deaver of Fulton, Michael Deaver of LaFayette, Margaret Nephew of Arkport, NY and Linda (Shadow) Sawkins of LaFayette and her brother Mark (Kathy) Razey of Livonia, NY; Many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held from 10 AM to 12 PM Wednesday, June 17th at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, 2584 Field Lane., LaFayette, NY 13084. 

A funeral service will follow promptly at 12 PM at the funeral home.

Burial will take place in LaFayette Rural Cemetery following service on Wednesday.

In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Alzheimer's Association of CNY.
