Obituary of Jane Ann Griffin

Jane A. Griffin, 87, of Syracuse, passed away peacefully on Thanksgiving Day, November 26, 2020.  She was the wife of the late John Griffin (2015); and the daughter of the late Floyd and Velma (Reilly) Baron, and step mother, Grace Baron.   

Jane worked for many years with Niagara Mohawk as a switchboard operator. She was a selfless and loving wife and mother. She enjoyed traveling to Inverness, FL during the winters and to Upper Chase Lake in the Adirondacks for the summers. Everyone would say that Jane was the nicest person on earth. Her church and religion were a big part of her life, and she was a devoted communicant of Most Holy Rosary Church. She loved her family and deeply cared for her pets.

She is survived by three sons: Gregory (Lou Ann), Jeffrey (Patti), and Scott (Marianne) Griffin; eight grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. The Family would like to thank the staff of Loretto Health care for taking care of her in her final years.   

An hour of calling will be held at Most Holy Rosary Church, Syracuse, at 10 am on Wednesday, December 2. A funeral service will immediately follow. Burial will take place at Onondaga Valley Cemetery. Online condolences for Jane’s family may be left at www.ballweg-lunsford.com
