Obituary of Mary Ann T. Piron

Mary Ann (Finn) Piron, 90, of Syracuse, passed away peacefully on Monday, at her home with family at her side.  Born in Syracuse, Mary Ann was a graduate of St. Anthony's High School where she met her love of her life, Richard “Dick” Piron. She dedicated herself to her nine children and extended family.  She was a communicant of Our Lady of Hope Church. 

She is predeceased by her husband, Richard Q. Piron (2015) and a son, Michael John Piron Sr. (2003); and grandsons, Josiah Luke Piron (2017) and John Michael Piron (2004). Mary Ann is survived by her sons, Richard (Linda), Edward (Jennifer), Dan (Lisa) and Tom (Antoinette) Piron; daughters, Mary (Jim) Haas, Peggy (Steve) Cominsky, Patty (Paul) Myles and Theresa (Charlie) Doupe; a daughter-in-law, Pamela (Jaquay) Piron; 23 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and many great friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Hope Church, 4845 S. Salina St., Syracuse. Burial will be in Onondaga Valley Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of CNY, 990 7th North St., Syracuse, NY 13088 or Our Lady of Hope Church.
