Obituary of Peter Michael Holm, Sr.

Peter “Mike” Michael Holm, Sr., 76, of Jamesville/LaFayette, passed away on May 28, 2021 at home.

He was born in Iowa to the late Peter and Evelyn (Wallace) Holm, and moved to Jamesville, NY in his teens. After graduating highschool, Mike proudly served his country in the Navy. He went on to become Vice President of Craner Oil Company, and then drove bus for elementary school children for the JCC. Mike deeply loved and cared for his family, and had a passion for horses.

He is survived by: his loving wife of 54 years, Catherine (Leary) Holm; children, Lisa, Peter, Amy; five grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, June 5 from 10 am to 12 Noon, at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, Syracuse. Burial will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery, Jamesville. The family would like to invite friends to celebrate Mike’s life at the Jamesville Firehouse after the burial.
