Hi Dad, I miss you, I miss our nightly news and family fued. I pray that you and Kristin have located one another in Heaven.
Krissy always enjoyed her time spent with you during holidays and family gatherings. I will never question God why we had to loose you both in such a short period of time, but its hard... We barely had time to grieve losing you and now Krissy is gone as well.
May you both rest in peace and find comfort in Gods Heavens where there is no pain, suffering or sadness.
All my Love Kathy

Alex as so many called him. Alex / Dad is my father in law, my children's grandpa, my husband's best friend.
I met Alex back in 1985, before his son and I ever dated. He came into the gas station where I worked almost every Sunday to fill up, he always had a smile.
About a year later I started to date his son dean and that is when I got to know Alex. Dean & I got engaged, married, had some kids...over this time is when I learned that Alex knew my grandpa Vaughn as they both had worked at GE and then talking we realized he also knew my uncle Main and use to Ice skate at Onondaga Park with him.
Alex was always ready for a road trip as long as it involved stopping and getting breakfast or lunch, sometimes both...Like the time we left for the drag races at 9:00 p.m.on a Saturday night, on a spur of the moment 600 mile roundtrip to Englishtown N.J. to see some drag racing on Sunday. After a small detour( because Dean never gets lost) we arrived at the hotel around 3:00 a.m. for a 3 hour power nap. Got up, got to the track, seen some racing, and we were back home in less than 24 hrs.
Alex retired in 1988. His first grandson jordan was born in April of 1991. We asked Dad to fill in one day for day care as my mom had an appointment. He did and when Dean picked Jordan up that evening Alex told him how much he enjoyed his day with a 3 month old and asked if he could care for him regularly. And so it began, Jordan was with Grandpa every other
day until kindergarten, at which time he started spending every Saturday night at grandpas and on Sundays the two of them would drive to Kostas Restaurant in Auburn for breakfast, then a trip to the arcade, and to top it off, minuture golf and ice cream. WELL when Marc came along and was big enough to realize how much fun was to be had with grandpa he began the Saturday night ritual as well. This went on until the boys were into there...what ?? 40's?.... lol.....
There were all the trips to Seabreeze where grandpa in his 70's was still riding the waterslides, jackrabbit, and his favorite, the bumping cars as he called them. We took many vacations together as a family as well. 2 trips to Washington DC. A trip to Florida to visit Dean's mom and step dad, numerous trips to Niagara Falls, Canada, to include Clifton Hill, Marineland, Madame Tussad's wax museum and of course Casino Niagara and Fallsview Casino. Last but not least, the 9,987 times we attended the NYS fair together, along with Teta Katie, Uncle Bob, and his loving niece Debbie. The one thing that will always stand out for me on our family trips, was when Alex would say "Dean, I have to go to the bathroom...Dean would practically stop the car right on the highway so Alex could tinkle... but let me ask to stop... I always got okay, there's a rest stop right up here, yea, about 175 miles up here.... I did wise up though, on future trips, I'd just lean forward and ask Alex to ask him to stop.
Alex spent every Christmas eve with us. He'd bring his overnight bag and presents and he always had a gift for each of us to open on Christmas eve.
Mine was always a calender for the new year with kitties on it.
Alex became part of everyone's family. My parents loved him, my sisters and nieces adored him. My friends fell in love with him. My family's extended family enjoyed his company at family gatherings as well.
Alex was always included in any of the local trips to Dean & Dale's mother and stepfather Pat & Bob's home and camp as they had always maintained a special relationship over the years.
Alex was a kind, caring man and we are all missing him. He truly left wonderful and meaningful impressions on our lives. We are all better persons to have known him and spent time in his company. God Speed Dad
