Obituary of Jerald Robert Finch
Jerald R. Finch went to be with the Lord on August 18,2021, his loving family by his side. Jerry was a lifelong Marine, he served in Vietnam, 1st Marine 1st Battalion Search & Destroy (1963 – 1967). He retired from CSX/ConRail and enjoyed spending time with his family. In his younger years he loved playing golf, bowling, hunting, fishing, mowing his lawn and sitting on the deck with his wife of 40 years, Theresa. His Grandchildren were his world. He loved going to all of their athletic events, giving rides around the yard with the four-wheeler, lawn mower, tractor, anything to put a smile on their faces. He also loved being with his dog, Buster.
He was predeceased by his parents Edwin Finch & Janice (Camp) Finch. Also predeceased by his sister, Diana (Finch) Holbrook & brother, Richard Finch.
Jerald is survived by his wife, Theresa (Haynes) FInch of Fabius, daughters, Elizabeth Maddresta of Phoenix, AZ, Belinda (Walter) Cassolare of Otisco, NY, Jeralyn Baca of Apulia, NY, Kimberly (William) Frost of LaFayette, NY & son, Jason (Susan) Finch of Fabius, NY. He has 14 grandchildren & 3 great grandchildren. Also survived by his sister Judy (Finch) Sullivan & James (Susan) Finch. Jerry will very missed by so many.
Calling Hours will be held at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home LaFayette, NY on Monday, August 23rd from 4 – 7 pm.
Funeral Services will be at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, 2584 Field Lane, LaFayette, on Tuesday, August 24th at 11:00 am.
Burial will be in Fabius Evergreen Cemetery.
