



Obituary of Raymond J. Shenandoah
It is with great sadness and sorrow, that we announce the passing of our loved one, Raymond J. Shenandoah, 75, of The Onondaga Nation. He graduated from LaFayette High School, where he achieved a spot in the 1963 Lacrosse Hall of Fame. Ray went on to serve his country in the US Army upon his return he played lacrosse with the O.A.C. He was also a talented horseshoe player. Ray was predeceased by his parents; Leon and Thelma Shenandoah and his sister; Joan Shenandoah. He leaves his wife Kathy Thomas; sons, John, Ray (Kara), Clayton, Kas and Jordan Shenandoah; daughters, Anna (Steve Sunday) and Mickey (Joe Hill) Shenandoah; brothers, Leon II (Carolyn), Duane, Irwin (Cheryl), Gary and Jerome (Ramona) Shenandoah; sister, Lorie Shenandoah; 18 grandchildren and 3 great grandsons. You are loved and will be missed dearly. Calling hours will be held from 4 PM to 7 PM on Tuesday October 5th at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, 4612 S. Salina St. Syracuse. Services will follow immediately at 7 PM. Burial will be private in Onondaga County Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery.
