My condolences to the Clark family on the loss of Homer. He served the City of Syracuse admirably during his time on SPD. His career was a fine example of a hometown guy dedicating himself to a life of service to his community. He was one of our most senior retirees - glad he was able to enjoy life after the job for so long. RIP Homer
Lt. John Corbett - SPD (Ret)

My dad was a Syracuse Police Officer and would be 97 yrs old if alive today. I was also an SPD Officer for 22 years and want you to know, everythig you said about your dad was true & accurate. My dad and I both knew & respected your father and all his fine qualities. He was a respected, calm, compassionate man with a heart of gold. May your dad Rest In Peace. Respectfully, Paul E. Clapper, (SPD ret. 1993).

Deb, Bonnie and Clark Family -
Sympathy for your loss. Reading of your dad's car repair/maintenance skills brought a smile. I remember when my dad passed and we sold him that extremely ugly, but flashy red late 1970's Ford. He maintained it impeccably and was still driving it in the early '90's. I remember him pulling in to our driveway in East Syracuse dropping Deb off for a visit at one point still proudly driving that monstrosity. My dad would have approved! They never met, but they were two of a kind from that great generation.
Cherish your memories. He has left this life, but he will always live in your hearts.
