Obituary of Gerald B. Bentley Jr.

Gerald B. Bentley Jr., 68, lifelong resident of Syracuse, passed away on Monday, January 24th.  He graduated from Corcoran High School and was a communicant of St. Anthony of Padua Church, Syracuse, NY.  Gerald enjoyed fixing and riding bicycles.  He also enjoyed hunting & fishing when he was younger.

He is predeceased by his parents; Marilyn (Rudd) McGrail  & Gerald (Red) Bentley Sr.; sisters, Patricia Bentley, Theresa Bentley and Linda McGrail; and brother, Michael McGrail.

Gerald was the eldest of seven children and is survived by two sisters, Cynthia (Bentley) Davis  of Florida and Kathleen (McGrail) Jones  (Spouse Michael) of Liverpool; and several nieces & nephews. 

Visitation will be on Thursday, February 3, 2022 from 11 - 11:30AM at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, 4612 S. Salina Street, Syracuse, New York 13205. 

Services will follow at 11:30, at the funeral home.

Contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to a local food pantry or homeless shelter.
