Obituary of Norman J. Groth Sr.

Norman J. Groth Sr., 88, of Lafayette, passed away on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 with his loving wife by his side.  He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.

His children and grandchildren were his pride and joy as well as spending time with his “Happy Hour Garage” family.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Linda (Rummerfield) Groth; sons, Donald (Joyce) of Fulton, NY, Norman Jr. (Rachael) of Tuscaloosa, AL, Wayne (Terri) of Burlington, VT; daughters, Donna Potoczek of Brantford, Ontario, Canada, Jacquie Collis of Webster, NY, Amy (Jerry) Wagner of Fabius, NY and Autumn (Joe) DeSantis of East Syracuse, NY; a sister, Norma Jean (Dick) Dunham of South Carolina; numerous grandchildren as well as great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In keeping with Norm’s wishes, there will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday, February 19th from Noon to 5PM at the Lafayette VFW.
