Obituary of Robert Benjamin Johnson

Robert Benjamin "Uncle Bob" Johnson, age 75, of Skaneateles, New York died Thursday, October 24, 2002 at Community General Hospital, Onondaga Hill, New York. Robert was born June 8, 1927 in Syracuse, New York, the son of Benjamin Rodgers and Mary Louise (Wilson) Johnson. He was a graduate of Onondaga Valley Academy and SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry. He was a Navy Air Corps veteran of World War II. He was the former owner and President of B. R. Johnson, Inc. He was extensively involved in numerous organizations, including: Boy Scouts of America as Eagle Scout through multiple adult posts; past chair of ESF Foundation; SUNY ESF trustee emeritus and past chair of Crouse Hospital Foundation. Mr. Johnson is survived by his wife of 53 years, Roberta C. Crawford Johnson; one daughter, Marjorie M. Cunningham of Rochester, New York; one son, Scott R. Johnson of Weedsport, New York; two granddaughters, Lyndsey Johnson and Lauren Cunningham; two grandsons, Greg Netti and Scott Johnson; one great granddaughter, Katie Netti. He was preceded in death by his sister Mary Kay Johnson Hawkins. Memorial Service: Tuesday, October 29, 2002, 12:00 noon in St. Paul's United Methodist Church with Rev. Harold Bruen officiating.
