Obituary of Barnard L. Allen

Barnard L. Allen, age 84, of Camillus, New York died Wednesday, September 11, 2002 at home. Mr. Allen was born March 27, 1918 in Syracuse, New York, the son of Frank B. and Kathryn (Wilcox) Allen. He was a self-employed attorney for Bernard L. Allen Attorney at Law from 1973 to the present. He was formerly employed with Keene Vinette Demore and Buchana Law Firm from 1949 - 1964 and was a partner with Fred Buchanan in the Buchanan-Allen Law Firm from 1964 to 1973. He was a Boy Scout Leader for Troop 18 Hiawatha Council, a member of First Baptist Church of Syracuse and a Fellow of the Onondaga County Bar Asociation for over 58 years. He was a Navy veteran of World War Il and the Korean war. He is survived by one sister, Aleta Holbrook of Pulaski, New York; three nephews, Robert A. Crabtree of North Syracuse, New York, Donald J. Crabtree of Nedrow, New York and John Holbrook of Pulaski, New York; two nieces, Madelaine Rowell of Sandy Creek, New Yok and Linda Burdick of Mexico, New York. Funeral: Monday, September 16, 2002, 11:00 a.m. at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, Inc., with Pastor Scott Kavanagh officiating. Burial: Oakwood Cemetery, 940 Comstock Avenue, Syracuse, New York.
