Obituary of Norma Patterson

Norma Patterson, age 92, of the Onondaga Nation died Wednesday, July 31, 2002 at Community General Hospital, Onondaga Hill, New York. Mrs. Patterson was born June 6, 1910 in Syracuse, New York. She was a graduate of Thomas Indian School in Gowanda, New York and Syracuse Technical High School. She was a Practical Nurse for New York State working for Syracuse General Hospital and The Syracuse Home Association, retiring in 1978. She was a member of the Onondaga Nation Snipe Clan, a member of the United Methodist Church Choir on the Onondaga Nation and a craftsperson at the New York State Fair where she won several awards. She is survived by two daughters: Wilnora Renninger from Clymer, Pennsylvania and Beulah Lydic from Northern Cambria, Pennsylvania; one sister, Elizabeth Patterson of Auburn, New York; 13 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren. Funeral: Saturday, August 3, 2002, 10:00 a.m. at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, Inc., with Rev. Don Moody officiating. Burial: Onondaga Valley Cemetery, 2500 Valley Drive, Syracuse, New York.
