Obituary of Ralph C. Essig

Ralph C. Essig, age 87, of Syracuse, New York died Sunday, June 23, 2002 at Community General Hospital, Syracuse. Mr. Essig was born November 4, 1914 in Syracuse, the son of Claude and Margaret (Betts) Essig. He was a baker for Wards Baking Company, Syracuse, New York, for 39 years, retiring in 1976. He was a member of Bakery Confectionery Wokers Local 116. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Doris H. (Mace) Essig; one daughter: Marian E. Galster of Syracuse, New York; one son: David R. Essig of Camillus, New York; six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Funeral: Thursday, June 27, 2002, 11:00 a.m. at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, Inc., with Rev. Craig French officiating. Burial: Woodlawn Cemetery, 800 Grant Boulevard, Syracuse.
