Obituary of Frank J. Grabowski

Frank Joseph Grabowski, age 75, of Syracuse, New York died Wednesday, June 12, 2002 at Veterans Administration Medical Center, Syracuse. Mr. Grabowski was born October 13, 1926 in Syracuse, New York, the son of Frank J. and Mary N. Grabowski. He was a graduate of North High School and Smith Technical School for Graphic Arts (Printing). He was a printer, retiring from Peerless Press in 1992. He was a member of Graphics Communications International Union (GCIU) Local 66C and 284M for a total of 42 years. He served as Union officer for 30 years. He was a member of American Legion Valley Post #1468 and was a member and usher at Our Lady of Lourdes Church. He was a Navy Veteran of World War II. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Jennie Kurgan Grabowski; one daughter: Lisa G. Hower from Fairport, New York; one son: James M. Grabowski from New York City, New York; two brothers: Raymond Grabowski from Erie, Pennsylvania and Robert Grabowski from Miami, Florida; two grandchildren. Funeral: Monday, June 17, 2002, 9:00 a.m. at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, Inc., and 9:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 300 Valley Drive, Syracuse, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated by Father Thomas Fitzpatrick.
