Obituary of Marie E. Brann

Marie E. Salmonsen Brann, age 95, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend, of 409 Catherine Street, Syracuse, New York died Friday, April 12, 2002 at Community General Hospital, Syracuse. Mrs. Brann was born August 2, 1906, in Syracuse, the daughter of John and Anna (Kather) Salmonsen. She was a lifelong resident of Syracuse. She was one of ten brothers and sisters who have all predeceased her as well as her husband, David M. Brann in 1978 and daughter-in-law, Lavone Brann in 1983. She is survived by her son, James Brann of Phoenix, New York; daughter and son-in-law, Shirley and Vincent Mitchell of Horseheads, New York, six grandchildren, Kathy Geary of Horseheads, Timothy (Patricia) Mitchell of Clifton Park, Colleen (Thomas) Regula of Schenectady, Kenneth (Diane) Brann of Brewerton, Bommie (John) Barnett of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Terri (Michael) Cleveland of Camillus. She had 17 great-grandchildren to whom she was "Nanny"; Katie, Megan, Jenny, Tim, Dan, Adam, Lottie, Evonne, Michael, John, Estelle, James, Julia Grace, Joseph, Jeremiah, Elisha and Elisabeth. She had several nieces, nephews and close friends. Funeral: Tuesday, April 16, 2002, 11:00 a.m. at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, Inc., with Rev. Harold Bruen officiating.
