Obituary of Harriett Smith

Harriett "Teddy" Rose Smith, age 95, of 54 Sherry Drive, Syracuse, New York died Saturday, April 6, 2002 at Community General Hospital, Onondaga Hill, New York. Mrs. Smith was born November 9, 1906 in Syracuse, New York, the daughter of Frederick and Sarah (Gamblin) Grover. She was the wife of Clarence Arthur Smith who passed away in 1955. She retired in 1980 from Kemper Building. She is survived by two daughters: Clara M. Cooper and Dorothy L. Lavy both from Syracuse, New York; five sons: Harry R. Smith from East Syracuse, New York, Clarence M. Smith from Syracuse, New York, Jerome H. Smith from Liverpool, New York, Daniel F. Smith from Chicago, Illinois and Frank A. Smith from Syracuse, New York; 25 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Funeral: Wednesday, April 10, 2002, 10:00 a.m. at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, Inc., Syracuse with Rev. Milton Jefferson officiating.
