Obituary of Iva A. Rodgers

Iva A. Rodgers, age 81, of LaFayette, New York died Saturday, April 6, 2002 at Crouse Hospital, Syracuse. Mrs. Rodgers was born June 24, 1920 in Syracuse, New York, the daughter of Edward and Ida Mae (Burnham) Jones. She was the wife of Franklin E. Rodgers who passed away in 1994. She retired in 1985 after 26 years as a baker in food services for LaFayette Central Schools. She was a Turtle Clan Mother for the Oneida Nation, a 30 year member of American Legion Post 1468 Ladies Auxiliary and a member of Onondaga Nation Wesleyan Church. She was a member of the Wednesday Night Early Bird League at Valley Sports Center. She is survived by one daughter: Tamara "Tammy" Rodgers from LaFayette, New York; two sons: Marlin S. Rodgers from Vinton, Virginia; Edward J. Rodgers from LaFayette, New York; two sisters: Elizabeth Jones and Irene Greene both from Onondaga Nation; one brother: Arthur Jones from Nedrow, New York; four grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild. Funeral: Tuesday, April 9, 2002, 11:00 a.m. at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, Inc., Syracuse, New York with Pastor Bob Green officiating. Burial: Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
