Obituary of James J. Scott

James J. Scott, age 88, of Syracuse, New York died Friday, March 29, 2002 at home. Mr. Scott was born January 25, 1914 in Syracuse, New York, the son of James V. and Madelin (Pawlowski) Scott. He graduated in 1933 from North High School. He was the Superintendant of Buildings and Grounds for Manlius Military Academy and also for Marine Midland Bank from which he retired in 1974. He was previously employed by Porter Cable. He was a member of Cavalry Golf Club, Toastmasters International, Syracuse Men?s Garden Club and the University Club. He was a communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes. He is survived by his wife of 58 years Rose DePalma Scott; one brother: Leonard Scott from Liverpool, New York; niece and long time care giver, Janet C. Scott from Tully, New York. Funeral: Tuesday, April 2, 2002, 9:00 a.m. at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, Inc., and 9:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Lourdes, 300 Valley Drive, Syracuse where a Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated by Father Thomas Fitzpatrick.
