Doris Evelyn Van Dusen, age 71, of 3036 Route 11, LaFayette, New York died Sunday, February 24, 2002 at Van Duyn Home & Hospital, Onondaga Hill, New York. Mrs. Van Dusen was born March 8, 1930 in Rome, New York, the daughter of Louis F. and Marie (Evans) Massett. She married Clarence B. Van Dusen in 1949. She worked for the LaFayette School District for 20 years before retiring in 1986. She was a communicant of St. Joseph?s Church, LaFayette. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Clarence B. Van Dusen; two daughters: Ruth M. Cullen from Portland, Oregon and Patricia A. Lane from Syracuse, New York; two sons: Donald C. Van Dusen from Liverpool, New York and James B. Van Dusen from Syracuse, New York; one sister: Barbara E. Jarvis from Syracuse, New York; one brother: Franklin L. Massett from Rome, New York; 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Funeral: Friday, March 1, 2002, 9:15 a.m. at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, Inc., 4612 S. Salina Street, Syracuse, New York, 13205 and 10:00 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church, 6136 Cherry Valley Turnpike, LaFayette, New York, 13084 where a Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated by Father Michael Minehan.
