Obituary of Elizabeth I. Ciciriello

Elizabeth "Betty" (Druciak) Ciciriello, 93, of Jamesville, passed away peacefully in her sleep on September 26, 2022. She was born the youngest of nine children, in Syracuse in 1929, to the late John and Mary (Lepek) Druciak.

After graduating high school Betty was employed as an administrative assistant until she met the love of her life, Frank Ciciriello, and began a family. She was extremely proud of her Polish heritage. It was a surprise to her family that Betty was very active in the civic communities; having received letters from Jackie Kennedy, Douglas MacArthur, Richard Nixon- and all Presidents from Eisenhower to Bush. She was also instrumental in changes and improvements to the Centro Bus Route, which would now allow her to travel from Jamesville to Shoppingtown Mall. Betty truly loved Frank Sinatra, but loved her grandchildren even more. She was blessed to have been a part of each of their lives, and then part of their children's lives as well!

Along with her parents she is also predeceased by each of her siblings; as well as her husband of nearly 70 years, Frank Ciciriello (2017). Betty is survived by: her children, David (Sharon), Mark, Cynthia (Tom) King, Thomas, and Gary Ciciriello; grandchildren: Amy (Todd) Curtis, Mary (Bruce) Taylor, Allan Ciciriello, Moira and Monica King; great grandchildren: Zoe, Xavier, Aurora Curtis; and, Ian and Logan Taylor; sister-in-law Joyce Ciciriello; very good friend Mimi McGann; and several nieces and nephews.

An hour of calling will be held on Saturday, October 1 at 10 am at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, Syracuse. A funeral service will follow at 11 am. Burial will take place at Walnut Grove Cemetery, Jamesville.

The family would like to thank the kind staff and residents at Heritage House of Loretto. The care they provided to their mother was a comfort for them all.
