Obituary of Frederick G. Brownie" Brown

Frederick G. "Brownie" Brown, Sr., age 75, of Baldwinsville, New York died Wednesday, January 16, 2002 at home. Mr. Brown was born December 4, 1926 in Potsdam, New York. He was the son of Lester and Grace (Barden) Murray. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and served on USS Landing Craft, Infantry Rocket 1030 and in Iwo Jima and Okinawa. He retired as an assembler for General Electric, Liverpool, New York. He was a member of the International Union of Electronic Workers Local 320 where he was a Steward. He was a member of General Electric's Retirees Club, West End Survivors Club and Baldwinsville Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was preceded in death by his wife E. Lorraine Brown, March 4, 1993. He is survived by his companion, Arlene Zelinski from Baldwinsville, New York; six daughters: Judith A. Wells from Liverpool, New York, Linda L. Fraher from Auburn, New York, Pamela J. Bixler from Rising Sun, Maryland, Michelle L. Slater from Liverpool, New York, Cheri J. Gafrancesco from Phoenix, New York and Stacy M. Mills from Liverpool, New York; two sons: Frederick G. Brown Jr. from Cazenovia, New York and Kenneth M. Brown from Baldwinsville, New York; one sister: Loretta Behm from Nedrow, New York; three brothers: Robert W. Brown from Syracuse, New York, Kenneth Brown from Cicero, New York and Earl H. Brown from Bethel Park, Pennsylvania; 25 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren. Funeral: Monday, January 21, 2002, 11:00 a.m. at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, Inc., 4612 S. Salina Street, Syracuse with Rev. Thomas Schafer officiating. Burial: Onondaga Valley Cemetery, Syracuse. Calling Hours: Sunday, January 20, 2002, 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, Inc., 4612 S.
