Obituary of Michael N. Chekan

Michael N. Chekan, age 82, of Syracuse, New York died Friday, January 11, 2002 at home. Mr. Chekan was born September 27, 1919 in Jessup, Pennsylvania, the son of John and Anne Chekan. He retired from Industrial Fabricating Company, East Syracuse, New York. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of American Legion Post 1468. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, the former Ethel Thamis; two sons: Michael and Tom Chekan both from Syracuse, New York; three sisters: Helen Federovitch from Quakertown, Pennsylvania, Marge Marchigiani from Jessup, Pennsylvania and Anne Galasso from Olyphant, Pennsylvania; one granddaughter.
