Obituary of Shirley C. Orzell

Shirley C. Orzell, 91, passed away December 25, 2017 at St. Joseph's Hospital with her children by her side. She was born in Ithaca, NY the daughter of the late Robert and Hazel Baker Cavney. She attended business school, was a communicant of St. James Church, worked as a secretary, homemaker, proof reader and was an employee of Sears. She loved her family, her God, cooking, reading and animals. Shirley was predeceased by her loving husband, Ray Orzell. Shirley is survived by her children, Mary (Sandy O'Donnell) McCrone, Mike (April) Orzell and James Orzell; grandchildren, Caitlin, Ben, Michaela and Mackenzie; step-brother, Michael Breen; and her beloved cat, Sylvester. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, 4612 S. Salina Street, Syracuse, NY 13205. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery.
