Obituary of Ralph Lyle Kackison

Ralph Lyle Kackison, 86, passed away peacefully at home on Christmas Day. He was born May 16, 1931 in Syracuse, NY, the son of the late Lyle and Valerie Dean Kackison. Ralph served in the US Coast Guard during the Korean War and was a 60 year member of the American Legion Valley Post 1468. He worked for a number of years as a machinist in the Syracuse Area. Ralph is survived by his children, Daniel Kackison and Dora (Philip) Gooden; grandchildren, Amanda, Tiffany, Bryan and James; great grandchildren, Julian and Oren. He was predeceased by his parents; brothers, Bruce and Lyle; sister, Sharon VanHusen; sons, Douglas and David; and his longtime companion, Pauline Coon. Calling Hours will held Friday, December 29, 2017, from 3 to 5 p.m. at Ballweg and Lunsford Funeral Home, 4612 S. Salina Street, Syracuse, NY 13205. Burial will be in the Spring.
