Obituary of Frank Ciciriello

Frank Ciciriello, 91, of Jamesville, NY, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, November 27, 2017, with his loving family by his side. Born in Syracuse to the late Cosimo and Maria Fumillaro Ciciriello, Frank joined the US Navy after high school and proudly served during World War II, from 1943 to 1946. During this time, he served in both the Atlantic and Pacific Theaters. After his discharge from the service, Frank married the love of his life and wife of 68 years, the former Elizabeth Druciak. Frank retired from the US Postal Service, where he worked as a mail carrier out of the Colvin Station. Frank loved all sports; he was a golden glove boxer, a semi pro football player, and an avid bowler who also enjoyed a good game of poker. He was also a Pop Warner football coach for several years, coaching both the Valley Pythons and Southwood Stars. Frank was a former communicant of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Jamesville and St. James Church in the Valley. In addition to his wife, Elizabeth, Frank is survived by his children, David and Sharon Ciciriello, Mark Ciciriello, Cynthia and Tom King, Thomas Ciciriello, and Gary F. Ciciriello; grandchildren, Allan Ciciriello, Monica King, Moira King, Amy and Todd Curtis, and Mary and Bruce Taylor; great-grandchildren, Ian Taylor, Logan Taylor, Zoe Curtis, Xavier Curtis, and Aurora Curtis; sister-in-law, Joyce Ciciriello; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, Ciro, Michael, Dominic and Rocco. Funeral services will be Friday, December 1, 2017, at 9 a.m. at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, 4612 S. Salina Street, Syracuse, NY 13205. There will be no calling hours. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Jamesville.
