Obituary of Mary Suzanne Fleming

Mary Suzanne (Suzie, Sue) Fleming, 78 of LaFayette, passed away peacefully at Loretto on Saturday, September 16, 2017, with her husband by her side. Born in Syracuse, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Wilma (Critz) Murphy. She graduated from Central Square High School in 1957 and later married Arnold Fleming of LaFayette in 1959. She retired from Blue Cross Blue Shield of CNY where she worked as a Healthcare Sales Consultant. In her free time, Sue enjoyed sewing, quilting and spending time with her husband and family on their boat. In addition to her husband, Arnold, she is immediately survived by her son Steven (Shelley) Fleming of North Syracuse; daughter, Lisa (David) Deyo of Liverpool; grandchildren John, Chris, Laura, Suzie and Mike; sister, Anne Kelley of Baldwinsville; sister-in-law Judi Fleming and step-brother Peter (Ann) Bourlier of VA. Calling hours will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, September 21, 2017, at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, 4612 S. Salina Street, Syracuse, NY 13205. A funeral service will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Friday, September 22nd, 2017, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Onondaga Valley Cemetery, Syracuse.
