Obituary of Linda M. Grosso

Linda M. Grosso, 61, of Jamesville, passed away on Saturday, February 4, 2023. She worked at Green Hills for 40 years, followed by four years at the Syracuse City School District. She was also an active member of the Southwood Fire Department’s Support Team.

Linda was the most caring, supportive, and selfless person. She enjoyed spending time gardening, was an avid State Fair goer, Kohls cash spender, and loved supporting her family’s activities and hobbies. She could often be found cheering on her grandsons as they played baseball, hockey, football, and karate. She was overjoyed that she was able to meet and hold her long-awaited granddaughter Frankie.   

Linda is predeceased by her parents, Robert and Helen Reaume, her brother, Dan Reaume, and her In-laws, Frank and Amalia Grosso.

Linda is survived by her loving husband, Joseph; children, Nicole (John Jr.) Virag, Jennifer Grosso, Joey (Briana) Grosso; grandchildren, Anthony, John III, Levi and Francesca; siblings, John (Maryanne) Reaume, Sharon (Pat) Coffey, Carol (Tony) Bouvia; in-laws Joanne (Dave) Vanslyke, Sue (Steve) Jansson, Mike (Michelle) Grosso, several nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.

Calling hours will be Friday, February 17, 2023 from 5-8 PM at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, 4612 S. Salina St., Syracuse, NY.  Services will be Saturday, February 18, 2023, 11 AM at Our Lady of Hope Church (St. James) 4845 S. Salina St., Syracuse, NY.  Burial will take place at a later date.

Our family would like to thank the Southwood Fire Department, Manlius Fire Department, Hospice of CNY, Francis House, and all of those that helped facilitate her care along the way. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to any of the aforementioned organizations.
