Obituary of Katherine (Fiore) Guadagno

Katherine M. Guadagno, 90, of Syracuse, NY, passed away on March 31, 2023.  Born in Syracuse in 1932 to Rose (Aregano) and John Fiore, Katie was the loving and devoted wife of Robert (Bobby G) Guadagno for 49 years until his passing in 2002. She was also predeceased by a son-in law, Roger Bineau; sister, MaryAnn Anthony and three brothers, Dominick, John and Nicholas Fiore.   Katie was employed with Davis Florist on Tipperary Hill for over 30 years.  She was a communicant of St. Patrick’s Church and also was a member of the St. John’s Ukrainian Church Mothers Club.

Katie is survived by three daughters:  Camille (Rick) Hicks of Crossville, TN;  Lisa Bineau of Fayetteville, NY; and Karen (Mark) Thrasher of LaFayette, NY.  Katie was the proudest grandmother to one grandson, Zackery Thrasher of Pittsburgh, PA who was the absolute light of her life!!  She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.  Katie was devoted to her family and friends, a beautiful example of someone who put everyone in her life ahead of herself.  She will be missed by all, but never forgotten.

Calling hours will be on Friday, April 7^th from 4 pm to 7 pm at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, 2584 Field Avenue, LaFayette, NY.  Burial services will be Saturday, April 8^th at 9 am, with burial to follow at Woodlawn Mausoleum, Syracuse, NY.
