Obituary of Eva B. DeLine

Eva B. DeLine, 85, of Tully, New York, went to be with her Lord and Savior on April 5, 2023 at Crouse Community Center, Morrisville, surrounded by her family.

Eva was born at home in Cortlandville, New York on July 17, 1937, a daughter of the late Franklyn and Marlea (Kinney) Barber.  She was a graduate of Homer Central High School and worked at G.W. Wiltsie’s Department Store, the New York Telephone Company, and her father’s and husband’s business, Barber & DeLine, of which she took over ownership in 2005, after the passing of her husband.  Eva was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Preble, New York and the Cortland County Historical Society and was on the board of Trustees for Elmwood Cemetery in Preble, New York.  She loved cooking, studying genealogies, and family gatherings.

Eva is survived by children, Beckie (Rodger) Thomas of Cuyler, Jill (Bill) Sears of Westerville, OH, Tim (Saralyn) DeLine of Cortland, Vickie (Keith) Flanagan of Marietta, Jay DeLine of Jamesville; daughter in law, Carole  DeLine; several nephews and nieces, 19 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

She is predeceased by brother Elmer and Kathleen (Bilodeau) Barber, sisters, Delta (Barber) Campbell, Vada (Barber) Bates, husband, William J. DeLine, daughter, Penny Gail, and son Kevin William.

Calling hours will be Saturday April 15th, 2023 from 1-4 PM at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, 2584 Field Lane, LaFayette, NY 13084.

Funeral Services will be performed by Pastor Thomas Rofe, Pastor Tim Mowers, and Pastor Josh Slocum at 2:30 PM on Sunday, April 16th, 2023 at Calvary Baptist Church, 6753  State Route 281, Preble, NY 13141,  Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Preble, NY.
