Please accept our condolences on the death of your father, grandfather, and brother. We met Pastor Eddy at my daughter's house years ago, and I was so impressed by his faith and joyful demeanor. He will be so missed by so many, but it's such a comfort to know that he was escorted HOME by Jesus himself. Our loss is Heaven's gain.

My sincerest condolences go out to the Eddy family. I never had the pleasure of meeting Alan but I have known one of his son's (John) for a number of years now. I can honestly say that Alan must have been an exceptional father and guiding figure in his children's life. John is an exceptional young man, father and husband and those strong traits must have been born from his fathers upbringing. Alan's faith, strong morale principles and bringing joy to others will continue on through his children.

Many condolences to the Eddy family. Pastor Eddy was my pastor many years ago at Woodside Chapel in Maryland. One of my many great memories is of him sitting at the piano during our services and singing all the great hymns with his joyful smile.
I echo the words of Ms. Prudich. He did always choose to take the high road and was ever optimistic in his life. There is a very long list of the many ways he positively impacted myself, my family and others through his love of Jesus Christ.

I have known the Eddy Family for 40 plus years - and my life was so enriched by all of them. Alan was off to college when I first met the family - he was a “full of life” kind of guy that was full of energy, laughter - always positive and optimism.
He seemed to have everything going his way. However, life had it’s own path and circumstances seemed to be tough and not the path Alan would have chosen for himself.
Many would have given up - but through many tough days and stages of life, Alan chose the “high road” instead of groveling in self pity and complaining - always choosing to be positive and to do the right thing!
I remember hiking with him with my husband and 2 youngest sons - he spoke of how God had given him strength and determination as well as much needed courage and wisdom raising 3 sons and balancing as a single parent, Pastor and mentor. It was such a blessing to spend that time with him and hear his heart and know better how to remember him in our prayers.
Alan earned his heavenly crown with a mansion in glory!! I am sure that as he meets his loved ones gone on before him, that his laughter and excitement can be heard all around heaven!!
God bless Alan’s entire family - His 3 sons, wives and Grandchildren - may you hold him near to your hearts as you say goodbye and miss him - may you take his memory and life and apply it to yours and let it make a difference! He wasn’t perfect, but he was a role model that many never witness.
And to my sweet friend, Lorraine - know that I wish that I could be with you as you say goodbye - but know that I love you and hold you close in my heart and in my prayers.
May you all find comfort and know peace God gives during the storms of life!
“He heals the broken-hearted and binds up their wounds.” Ps. 147:3
