Obituary of Arlene A. Kenyon

Arlene A. Kenyon, 85, of South Onondaga, New York, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, died Wednesday, December 20, 2006 at Van Duyn Home & Hospital in Syracuse, New York. Arlene was born July 8, 1921 in Syracuse, New York, the daughter of Ralph and Grace (King) Bowen. She graduated from Onondaga Valley Academy and worked as a Registered Nurse and as an Occupational Therapist, retiring from Silverman Hospital. She spent summers on Song Lake and winters in Bayonet Point Florida. She loved spending time with her family and gardening. She was predeceased by her husband of 61 years, Nelson J. Kenyon, January 28, 2003; two sisters, Violet Bishop and Lillian Opperman and one brother, Theodore Bowen. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Kristine (Tom) Cox of Navarino, New York; two sons and daughters-in-law, David (Joanne) Kenyon of Dewitt, New York and Steven (Margaret) Kenyon of South Onondaga, New York; 10 grandchildren, Jessica, Tracy, Warren, Nelson, Pete, Ryan, Karen, Kelly, Kimberly and Kevin; four great-grandchildren, Maria, Riley, Noah and Kyle. Services: Saturday, December 23, 2006, 10:00 a.m. at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, 4612 S. Salina Street, Syracuse, New York.
