Obituary of Deborah Powell Root

Deborah Powell-Root, 55, of LaFayette, New York died Wednesday, December 20, 2006 at Crouse Hospital in Syracuse, New York. Deborah was born October 17, 1951 in Syracuse, New York, the daughter of Gerald J. and Dawn (Bowles) Powell. She was a graduate of Central Tech High School. Deborah was a wonderful loving wife, mother, da, gamma and friend who will be dearly missed. She was predeceased by her father, Gerald J. Powell in 1996; mother, Dawn Bowles Powell in 2002 and her brother Dennis Powell in 1996. Surviving are her husband of 30 years, Michael Root; two daughters, Dawn (Matt) Kowalski of Columbus, Ohio and Maria (Bob) Boris of Camillus, New York; one brother, Allen Powell of Florida; four grandchildren, Abin, Savannah, Melanie and Jude; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Services: Wednesday, December 27, 2006, 11:30 a.m. at Syracuse, New York. Burial: Onondaga Valley Cemetery, 2500 Valley Drive, Syracuse, New York.
