Obituary of William C. Kuney

William C. Kuney, 73, of Syracuse, New York passed away Sunday, December 3, 2006 with his family by his side after a courageous battle with lung cancer. William was born July 17, 1933 in Tyre, New York, the son of Samuel and Edith (Ritter) Kuney. He moved to Syracuse, New York in 1943. He served in the Korean War on the USS Missouri. He worked for Maslin Trucking Company for 24 years and retired from New Penn Trucking after 10 years. He was a member of Teamsters Union Local 317 for 40 years. Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Connie Edmunds Kuney; three sons, Mark (Nancy) Kuney of North Carolina, Scott Kuney of Remson, New York and Kurt (Malinda) Kuney of Onondaga Hill, New York; two daughters, Diane of Syracuse, New York and Karen (John) Cousineau of Syracuse, New York; one sister, Val (Bob) Smith of Seneca Falls, New York; 17 grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Stephen Kuney in 1999. Services: Friday, December 8, 2006, 11:00 a.m. at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, 4612 S. Salina Street, Syracuse, New York.
