Obituary of Christine M. Larkin

Christine Mahlerwein Larkin of Syracuse, New York, died Tuesday, November 21, 2006 at Community General Hospital in Syracuse. Christine was born August 29, 1918 in Syracuse, New York, the daughter of Harry and Christine (Bronson) Mahlerwein. She attended Syracuse City Schools and was a 1941 graduate of Syracuse University School of Nursing Hospital of Good Shepard. She enlisted in the U.S. Army Nurse Corps serving on Tinian and then occupied Japan. In 1949, she was one of the original Nurses with the Syracuse Regional Blood Program. She retired in 1983 after 20 years of service as an office nurse with Drs. Fournier, Redfield and McLean. She was a member of First English Lutheran Church. Surviving are her husband of 52 years, Leo G. Larkin; nephew, John C. Boynton, of New York City, New York and niece, Christine Begin of Bruceville, Texas.
