Obituary of Dorothy M. Donegan

Dorothy M. Donegan, 90, of Loretto and formerly of Brighton Towers, both in Syracuse, New York died Friday, April 28, 2006 at Community General Hospital in Syracuse. Dorothy was born November 17, 1915 in Syracuse, New York, the daughter of Leon and Nora (Hughes) Moore. She was a graduate of Blodgett Vocational High School and retired from General Electric after 26 years. She was a communicant of St. James Church and previously of St. Lucy?s Church. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her great-grandchildren. She was a loving mother and grandmother and was greatly admired by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard N. Donegan, April 21, 2005 and a son, Richard N. Donegan in 1968. Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Dorothy (Bill) Flanagan of Syracuse, New York; three sons, Robert L. (Cathy) Donegan of Liverpool, New York, Daniel Donegan and Jack Donegan both of Syracuse, New York; one brother, Robert (Alma) Moore of Syracuse, New York; 12 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Services: Monday, May 1, 2006, 8:30 a.m. at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, and 9:00 a.m. in St. James Church, 4845 S. Salina St., Syracuse, New York where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Burial: Onondaga Valley Cemetery, 2500 Valley Drive, Syracuse, New York.
