Obituary of Gus D. Sidou

Gus D. Sidou, 53, of Holt, Michigan and formerly of Syracuse, New York died Friday, April 14, 2006, in Syracuse surrounded by his family. Gus was born April 9, 1953 in Drosopia, Greece the son of Demetrios and Anastasia Sidou. He became a United States Citizen at the age of seven. He retired in 2005 from General Motors in Lansing, Michigan following 33 years of service as a fork lift operator. Gus belonged to the Crangle Family Brother-in-law Club. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and was an avid gardener. Surviving are his wife of 29 years, the former Kathleen "Frieda" Crangle; two sons, James (Danielle) Sidou of Lansing Michigan and Benjamin Sidou of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan; one daughter, Anna Sidou of Kalamazoo, Michigan; his mother; Anastasia Sidou of Syracuse; one brother, Evangelos (Athenea) Sidou of Baltimore, Maryland; one sister, Dr. Vickie (Paul) Sidou-Sighnolfi of Brewer, Maine; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and "all his fishing buddies".
