Obituary of Robert L. Bob" Jones

Robert L. "Bob" Jones, 58, of Rochester, New York died Thursday, March 30, 2006 at Park Ridge Hospital in Rochester. Robert was born December 30, 1947 on the Onondaga Nation, the son of Moses and Frances (Henhawk) Jones. He retired in 1999 from Sentry Corp. in Rochester as a Tool and Die maker following 20 years of service. He was an accomplished bowler having bowled numerous 300 games and several 800 series. Surviving are his wife of 27 years the former Dorothy Tomasso; two sons, Robert Jones Jr. and Michael Jones both of Rochester, New York; three daughters, Denise Garn of S. Burlington, Vermont, Christine Jones of Baldwinsville, New York and Alita Jones of Wisconsin; two brothers, Max (Mary) Jones of Syracuse, New York and Chris (Kari) Attaway of Liverpool, New York; three sisters, Beverly Dressell of Mantua, New Jersey, Carlo Donaldson of Hastings, New York and Manny Slishevsky of Onondaga Nation; four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Services will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 4, 2006 at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, Inc., 4612 S. Salina Street, Syracuse, New York. Burial will be in the Onondaga Nation Cemetery. Calling hours will be 4:00-7:00 p.m. Monday, April 3, 2006 at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, 4612 S. Salina Street, Syracuse, New York.
